I just need to ask one question. What part of “illegal” is so goddam hard to understand? Non-citizens who broke the law and are continuing to break the law by being here are now afforded Affirmative Action privileges? WTF?
via Fox News:
This week, Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley signed a bill to require the state’s public universities to give undocumented aliens — generally illegal — in-state tuition privileges.
The bill, known as the Dream Act, is already the law in ten other states, including California, New York, Texas and Illinois.
This bill is mainly directed at the children of illegal aliens (who are also illegal aliens) to get a handout. But illegal is illegal, and they are illegal. Why is that so hard to comprehend? And the other question that needs to be asked, why is the left always making excuses for everything? (aside from pandering and buying votes).
Let’s dumb this down and make it simple enough for even them to understand. If the speed limit is 50 mph and you are pulled over for going 90 mph, do you think you are breaking the law? You tell the cop that the reason you were doing 90 in a 50 zone is because you are late for an important meeting at work. Are you still breaking the law? Yes, or no? It’s the same thing. You’re either legal or you’re an illegal alien, period. Like I said, what about “illegal” is too difficult to understand?
“Almost everyone who would benefit from the DREAM act would also benefit from affirmative action,” Steven Camarota, the research director for the think tank Center for Immigration Studies told FoxNews.com.[...]
Affirmative action benefits can be substantial. A study of selective universities by Princeton sociologists Thomas Espenshade and Alexandria Radford found that listing one’s race as “Hispanic” instead of ‘White” increased the likelihood of being admitted by the same amount as scoring an extra 130 points on the SAT. Compared to Asians, the study found, Hispanics receive a 240-point advantage.
Lowering the standards. No wonder why this country is a lot dumber than it was 30 years ago. By the way, wouldn’t receiving an extra 240 points based solely on your race be considered discrimination? Matter of fact, I believe that is the definition of discrimination. Now then, how do you on the left justify this blatant form of discrimination? This supposedly goes against all of your core beliefs. If you try to justify it, you are a hypocrite.
So let’s summarize. If you’re an illegal alien of hispanic descent, you get an extra 240 points, affirmative action, plus preferential treatment at the college of your choice. Equal Opportunity? HA! HA! HA! LMAO!!!
