The 2nd Amendment: A Concealed Carry Permit

When Obama was running for president in 2008, he promised to “fundamentally change America” – a phrase which lucid Americans took as meaning he was going to bring his leftist agenda to bear on us all. And if Obama has had any success as president, it’s certainly been his success in changing us fundamentally from a nation under law to a nation that often looks lawless. From a nation in which one feels secure into a nation in which more and more people are feeling that their security is in their own hands (literally)….

In Smith and Wesson We Trust (and It Looks Like Santa Does Too)

Making a Christmas list is always fun. And I remember as a kid listing things in order, putting the gift I would most like Santa to bring at the top of list. One year that was a bicycle, another year a certain type of BB gun, and another year a video game system. Throughout other years the number one gift request varied but was always the one thing on my list I went to bed dreaming about on Christmas Eve. And although such is to be expected of a child, it seems that a lot of adults now go to bed on Christmas Eve dreaming of what Santa might bring them as well: especially when the number one thing on their list is a Walther .380 or a Glock model 27 or a Springfield XD subcompact 9mm, all of which are splendid guns for concealed carry permit holders.

The Left’s War on the Second Amendment Continues as Gun Sales Skyrocket

Walk into your local gun shop and you’re likely to be greeted by some of the hardest working salesmen and women in America. On Black Friday alone Gun dealers flooded the FBI with background check requests for prospective hand gun and long gun buyers, smashing the previous record by more than 30%. Deputy Assistant FBI Director Jerry Pender said the checks, required by federal law, surged to nearly 130,000 during the day, far surpassing the previous high of 97,848 on Black Friday of 2008. The actual number of firearms sold is likely much higher because multiple firearms can be included in a transaction by a single buyer. The FBI does not track actual gun sales.

FOLLOW UP: Obama anti-gun government backtracks

It’s probably a good idea not to piss off 200 million people with guns. It doesn’t normally end well for the instigator, and in this case, the instigator is the Obama Regime.

Yesterday we told you of the Regime’s plan to ban guns on public lands, a clear violation of the 2nd Amendment. When you have 200 million guns pointed at your head, things change and freedom and the Constitution prevail. The Regime had a sudden change of heart regarding the illegal and tyrannical ban.

In a new US News & World Report story from today:

Under fire from gun owners concerned about draft guidelines that could limit areas for target practice on western public lands, the Interior Department today said it would make sure shooters still have access to lands long available for firearms recreation.

Another 4 years of Obama, taking up arms might be the only way to take the country back. The man is a tyrant.

Regulating Guns Obama-Sunstein Style

For those of you unaware of “Sunstein,” I’m talking about Regulatory Czar Cass Sunstein. He’s the guy in charge of dreaming up new regulations, and tweaking the existing regulations so they mean something they were never intended to mean. Much like “The General Welfare” in the constitution does not, and has never meant welfare as we know it (handouts, programs, etc…), but they just keep tweaking and pushing until the people come to believe their wrong and agenda-ideology driven views. Sunstein is a dangerous radical, some of you have heard Glenn Beck’s warning about him. Pay attention, Beck is right.

It’s no secret Barack Obama wants guns banned and confiscated, he can’t do it for that would require repeal of the Second Amendment, a snowball in hell has a better chance of surviving. It’s just not going to happen.

So what do you do? How do you advance your agenda? There are a lot of ways. You could go after the makers of ammunition, which Obama already has done to a small extent, and, via the regulatory czar, you can regulate where to shoot. If you keep closing off places to shoot, the interest in buying a gun diminishes because “you can’t shoot anywhere,” and Obama realizes his objective of a mostly unarmed citizenry.

And the neat part of this game is, potential firearms owners that opt against a gun and shooting actually believe they made that choice, when in fact it was really Sunstein “nudging” you to make that choice.

Nudge was a book written by Sunstein on how to manipulate people in to doing what you want them to do, while those manipulated believe they are making a decision of their own volition.

It has begun according to US News & World Report:

Gun owners who have historically been able to use public lands for target practice would be barred from potentially millions of acres under new rules drafted by the Interior Department, the first major move by the Obama administration to impose limits on firearms.

The story is entitled, Obama Pushing Shooters Off Public Lands, and you can read it here.

Obama working on gun control “under the radar”

One of the main things tyrants do is take the people’s guns. You don’t need me to tell you why they do that. Whether you’re anti-gun or not really isn’t the issue. It is a guaranteed right under the constitution, and if you don’t like it, tough.

But that’s not how Obama operates. He doesn’t like the constitution and he has undermined it since day one and everybody knows it, although a certain side of the political aisle refuses to admit it, publicly at least.

This, from Fox News:

On March 30, the 30th anniversary of the assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan, Jim Brady, who sustained a debilitating head wound in the attack, and his wife, Sarah, came to Capitol Hill to push for a ban on the controversial “large magazines.” Brady, for whom the law requiring background checks on handgun purchasers is named, then met with White House press secretary Jay Carney. During the meeting, President Obama dropped in and, according to Sarah Brady, brought up the issue of gun control, “to fill us in that it was very much on his agenda,” she said.

“I just want you to know that we are working on it,” Brady recalled the president telling them. “We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar.”

The giveaway is in the story. Obama, Sunstein and Company can’t get away with banning guns, but they can with ammo, magazines and regulations, and that’s how the assault on everybody’s 2nd Amendment right is going to go down.

Perhaps banning magazines, or only allowing gun companies to manufacture single shot guns, or, black powder guns, maybe they’ll ban ammo, there’s all sorts of ways to go around the 2nd Amendment and essentially ban guns, without actually banning guns. It’s coming. Another 4 years of this dictator and my guess is, the 2nd Amendment won’t really mean much of anything. You watch, it’s coming. This is the second time I’ve posted about this very subject.
