1st Amendment Assault: Under Obama U.S falls to 47th in press freedom rankings

This isn’t good at all. Totalitarianism is creeping in at a rapid pace, and try as you might Lefty, it is occurring during the Obama Administration with his policies firmly in place. Just like losing our AAA credit happened during the Obama presidency, meaning it’s not Bush or the Republicans fault, no matter how much spin you keep applying. Facts are facts and they are stubborn things.

Four more years, eh? Thanks, but no thanks. I pass.

The annual report by Reporters Without Borders has been released, showing the United States fell 27 points on the list due to the many arrests of journalists covering Occupy Wall Street protests.

The slide in the United States places it just behind Comoros and Taiwan in a group with Argentina and Romania.

Hard to believe, isn’t it? Who would have ever thought?

Republican Rep. Steve Chabot of Ohio orders all camera’s confiscated at Town Hall

I have to admit, this one had me fooled. The first thing I thought when I read the headline was, what Democrat is it? To my surprise, it wasn’t a Democrat at all, it was Republican Steve Chabot representing the 1st district of Ohio.

A congressman from Ohio had cops grab the cameras of constituents during a town hall meeting. Steve Chabot, a Republican, had cell phones and cameras confiscated in order to “prevent an embarrassing Youtube video from making the rounds,” according to Carlos Miller, who runs a blog documenting efforts by the state to stifle the First Amendment rights of photographers.

You have to be kidding. He and the cops do not have the right to confiscate camera’s or cell phones, and the first cop that would try to take mine would be in a coma today. This infuriates me.

Unlike the left that always turns a blind eye when it’s one of their own, I do not. I want to see this dipshit from Ohio hanging on the end of a rope underneath an oak tree as much as any Democrat that was harassed at his town-hall. I’m with you on this one. Wrong is wrong, regardless of who was wronged, and who committed the wrong.

Steve Chabot, he needs to leave.

Police said the cameras were taken “to protect the constituents.” A local television station, however, was allowed to videotape the meeting and the brazen move by Chabot and the cops.

To protect the constituents. HA! HA! HA! LMAO!!! What a crock of shit! What do the new cellphones and video camera’s come outfitted with nowadays… phasers? Whoever dreamt up that ridiculous excuse needs to be punched in the face. Can we please start hunting season now? Clearly, the stupid have overpopulated again.

Sign in front of a Florida business

This sign was prominently displayed in front of a business in Florida and you are probably outraged at the thought of such an inflammatory sign.

However, we are a society which holds Freedom of Speech as perhaps one of our greatest liberties.

And after all, it is only a sign, right?

You may ask: “What kind of business would dare post such a sign?”

Answer: A Funeral Home!

You gotta love it!!!

Another follow-up regarding the Constitution loving folks on the Gould, AR City Council

Earlier this week we told you about the city council in Gould, Arkansas which has basically passed an ordinance banning the 1st Amendment. It should also be noted that the mayor, Earnest Nash strongly opposes the ordinance and refuses to sign it. Simply put, Nash is one of the good guys. He was also assaulted because he opposed this ordinance. The two stories we ran on Gould can be found here and here.

I told you I wouldn’t be letting this one go and would continue following up and updating this story. The reporter covering this story emailed me last night with the details to date. Here is the text of that email:

Here’s the whole background:

We have been covering this story since the beginning, when the Gould City Council passed ordinances into law forbidding a citizens group (the Gould Citizens Advisory Council or GCAC) from meeting. Among other things, the ordinances were written to ban that group and any other group from meeting to discuss city business without council approval. Another ordinance bans the mayor, Mr. Earnest Nash, from meeting with anyone to discuss city business without council approval. The mayor immediately vetoed the ordinances but the council overrode the veto and the laws are now on the books. We covered the ordinances to show what many are calling violations of the First Amendment, and ever since that first story, I’ve only seen an increase in animosity between mayor supporters and city council supporters.

Since then, the GCAC has filed a lawsuit against two city council members. Not for the ordinances, but for their positions on the council being in violation of the Arkansas Constitution. One has a criminal record, one lives in a different ward than she represents.

I was in town, last Thursday, covering the lawsuit. It was obvious people living in the Gould community were getting heated. Thursday night, after my photographer and I were back in Little Rock and working on the story, I got a phone call from the mayor. He told me he had just been attacked by city council members and their families, and he was on his way to the hospital. The mayor told me he had just been pistol-whipped by a city council member’s brother, so we packed up in a live truck and headed back to Gould – 90 minutes away – calling city council members for confirmation the entire time. Finally, council member Harry Hall called me back asking why I was on my way back to Gould. I asked him if he knew anything about an altercation with the mayor. He told me he saw the whole thing, but wasn’t involved. He originally agreed to do an interview about what he saw, but then changed his mind after I heard people in the background start yelling.

When we showed up for the interview, the scene at city hall was already a pretty high-strung environment – with about 50 people arguing either the side of the mayor or the side of the city council. We were just in newscast mode and too focused with getting on air as soon as possible to worry about anything else. During the live interview with the mayor, I saw a silver car pull up in the background. Council member Sonya Farley got out of the car – telling me I need to know the truth – and then our live truck died. State police on scene to investigate – along with Gould police – walked her away, but she continued to say we need to know the truth. As you’ve seen in the video, photographer Matt Rowe kept rolling – capturing everything that followed. Citizens yelling, Mayor Nash saying Farley was at the attack, his attacker had been in that car, just tons of chaos. We got the truck working, let everyone at the station know we were ok, fed the video back and got out of there – as police asked.

Friday we returned to find Ms. Farley and learn what she meant when she got out of the car. Less than 24 hours had passed, and suddenly she didn’t want to talk. She barricaded herself inside a locked community center and refused to talk to us. We waited for her to leave and asked her questions as she walked to her car. Still, no comment.

I’m staying on this story until the end and seeing it through. There’s a lot of attention on Gould right now, and although we aren’t always welcome, we will keep going back until this book is finished. Tuesday, the city council meets again.  Members tell me they plan to rewrite the ordinances, but not repeal them.  We’ll see what happens.

The mayor hasn’t filed any charges yet.  State police tell me they’ll be finished with the investigation any time between tonight and Tuesday.  Interesting stuff.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if I can do anything else for you.  All of the stories I’ve done on Gould are also up on our website, www.fox16.com.  Just search “Gould”.

Thanks again, and tell Minnesota I miss her!  It was 113 degrees down here yesterday!  UGH!!!

Director of Progressive Media & Online Response

Who says that Obama is not a tyrant? Director of Progressive Media & Online Response? Where are we? The Soviet Union? I told you these people are rotten. Are you awake yet? Hey, you on the left, what would you say if Bush had done something like this?

via Fish Bowl NY:

The White House has named Jesse Lee to a new position within its communications department titled Director of Progressive Media & Online Response. According to The Huffington Post, Lee will essentially be responsible for building up Obama’s online presence as he prepares for his reelection bid, and squashing any negative stories.

So much for the truth and the 1st Amendment. And we all sit with our thumbs up our asses letting this Stalin mofo get away with it. He wants to be a dictator, period. You can’t argue that fact. One sided news pushing an agenda. That is propaganda people, and this regime is pushing it, and silencing decent. How’s that for some “change you can believe in?” How about that truth and transparency, huh? You like that?

The post is a new one for this White House. Rapid response has usually been outsourced to the Democrat National Committee (DNC), if not done on an ad-hoc basis by administration officials. And it signals that the White House will be adopting a more aggressive defense of the president and his policies as his re-election campaign gears up.

It’s all about the power, isn’t it? Just like I told you this two-bit hoodlum was all about, but no, I’m an extremist, a racist, and every other negative “ist” the high on crack left-wing kooks call me. But, it looks like you’re wrong again, and as usual I am not, doesn’t it?

Well I introduced myself to Jesse Lee, the Joseph Goebbels of the Obama regime yesterday. My brief, but to the point tweet said, “Obama The Marxist Sucks.” Straight to the point without mixing words.

I wonder if the black Duesenberg with a full complement of jackbooted, black uniformed, red arm band wearing progressive media police are going to round me up and send me to a re-education camp? No doubt they would like to.

And in totally unrelated news I’m sure: Feds Seize 8 More Domains.
